Agent Orange and His 1Million Fakebook Fans — A Fallacy, Like the Rest of His Claims

A month ago, more or less, I set up the 8 Million Facebook Filipinos, hopefully to band together all registered Filipinos in Facebook, the largest ethnic group at 8,420,000 strong. At the same time, the Lemon Yellow were ahead in the fan count at round 520,000, more or less while Agent Orange was trailing him at roughly 420,000 fans, again, more or less. I did not freeze the pages when I looked at these figures but you can check them by simulating a ‘Create an Ad’ procedure in Facebook.

This week, there are more than 9,200,000 Facebook Filipinos prompting me to change our name to 9 Million Facebook Filipinos. In just a month, the Facebook Filipinos grew by over Half-a-Million Fans and the Ponkanites of Agent Orange were celebrating hitting the 1Million Facebook Fans this week.

By the same token, SWS Surveys this week showed a drop of 6% on the support for Agent Orange from 32% in January to 26% in February, while Lemon Yellow shot up 5% from 34% to 39% in the same period.

Please note, there was more than 100% increase in the number of Facebook Fans of Agent Orange from a little over 400,000 in January to 1Million by March, an incredible increase of over Half-A-Million Fans, while his support is dropping in the SWS Survey results by 6% downwards, of course.

Meanwhile, the Red and White Brigade remained steady at a little below 20,000 Fans, again more or less but surprisingly leads in the Facebook Mock-Elections, Round 14 at 42%.

Question: Where are the over Half-a-Million additional Facebook Fans of Agent Orange ?
Answer: Still in Cyberspace looking for human bodies to fit themselves into ;

Queston: Are these additional Half-a-Million Facebook Fans of Agent Orange real people ?
Answer: Yes and No,

Yes They are a bunch of call center agent type workers tasked to register as many Facebook Accounts as they can to help the numbers of Facebook Fans of Agent Orange reach the 1Million mark, which they achieved this week.

No. Most of these Facebook Fans are ‘Virtual Facebook Filipinos’. Note their profiles with just one real photo and the rest are just campaign pictures.

I had close encounters of the cyber kind with at least two of them, one is Angelina Aquino and the other Celeste Lapuz. I am still figuring out one JR Villar who seem to be among the Virtual Facebook Fans of Agent Orange. Everyday and in every shift, their personalities change from courteous, to arrogant, to disrespectful to outrageous, but most of them, I can deduce are young. I know they are young as whenever I shoot some historical facts, they do not remember or understand at all. It sets a time period of their consciousness to current affairs in the Philippines.

You will know that they are paid call center agent type workers as their guns are silent during non-working days, like this coming Easter. They will go back to work on Monday, for sure with gunz ablaze, quite the opposite of real people who are more active in Facebook in their free time while these Virtual Facebook Filipinos are more active in Facebook during work days and work times, take time to observe them to validate my own observations with Facebook Fans of Agent Orange who are your friends.

True to his form and color, deception remains the strategy to fool the voters, mostly the poor and less educated voters to believe that they should vote for the winning candidate by the fake popularity in Facebook Fans.

Lesson: Deception is not as effective as Persuasion. You can fool some people sometime, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

Warning of the Surgeon General: The color Orange effectively whets the Appetite, extended use of the color Orange can lead to Greed.
